Our client, a multinational company global leader in sustainable and innovative paints and coatings, is currently looking for an EMEA Key Account Manager to join their team.
Job Purpose:
As a member of the EMEA Key Account Team, the Key Account Manager contributes to the execution of the regional strategy plan, taking the lead in defining and owning specific implications for the business. They direct and lead the execution of agreed sales, selected costs from the P&L, and profitability-related targets in line with strategy initiatives and mandates. The Key Account Manager drives customer focus, service deployment, and commercial excellence in daily operations and project work.
Responsibilities:
- Builds and secures the foundation for doing business with key accounts (influencers: OEMs, insurance companies, work providers) by establishing and maintaining contractual relationships at HQ level.
- Acts as the owner of the HQ relationship, coordinating all activities with the influencer, and proposing and agreeing on action plans.
- Identifies and creates new business opportunities (business development) with influencers, defines and communicates action plans, and reports on progress and results.
- Secures contracts, coordinates, monitors, and reports back on implementation status, taking corrective action wherever required on a worldwide basis.
- Builds and maintains a growth pipeline with selected key accounts, including commercial decisions, and delivers major sales opportunities for these accounts reported through the P&L of the respective sales regions.
- Responsible for people management (e.g., local sales, regional BDM) and plays a leadership and coordination role during project works, tenders, and daily routines with regional sales teams.
Qualifications:
- Native French and high level of English
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of formation (Economics, Chemistry, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of organizations (own and influencers), people, needs, and requirements.
- Good knowledge of the Vehicle and automotive sector, will be highly valuable
- Highest level of customer orientation.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Minimum 3-5 years of KAM, Sales, or other relevant experience.
